Beans

As I had a bit of time to spare this morning, I thought I might try a new cafe for my walk to work coffee.

I always visit the Brunswick East Project whenever I stay at Hotel Donaldo and was recently informed they had opened a new cafe on exploration lane in the city. The League of Honest Coffee and has a very similar feel to it's sibling with polished concrete floors, sparse furnishings and snazzy machines. But really it's all about the coffee!

And oh boy do they do it well!! Their Padre beans change with the seasons, but whatever bean they choose it's all good.

They also have some the same tasty baked goods as Brunswick, which are very hard to resist.

Only a 5 min walk from work, success!!

Mmmm

An hour long train ride can be rather tedious. I normally keep myself occupied by listening to music or other peoples conversations, today however I'm going go be one of those people who read.

My first start is the MX and I must say I'm particularly impressed. As today they put this on the front page

There was also an article about RRR's Community Cup but I was slightly distracted by Dan Sultan's beautiful face.

The MX also told me where to find Melbourne's best job. Here I could enjoy free beer and an xbox room! It sound alright I guess.

Luckily I now also know that if someone spits on you via twitter you have been spweeted! Who knew?!

Now onto my book!

Argh... Reading in movement is too hard. Glass family you will have to wait, the Glee soundtrack is calling me.

Brrr it's cold in here

Melbourne you are so beautiful
But so so cold.

Why do you force me to spend more money on coffee, clothes, movie tickets. Why...

Although, I am partial to a good woolen jumper so maybe I should just quit complaining and be more like these guys...

I think this look would be good for me. Let's try shall we

Working working working

My question of the day is.... (drum roll please)

Is working really worth it?

Pretty deep I know! But as I sit here at work, playing on my phone instead of answering emails I can't help but think I could be doing something else. Anything else really..

I could be sleeping, traveling, cooking, learning to skateboard! But alas I am working.

Working working working. I'd better get back to it, I've only got another 40 years of it!!

Harry Harry Harry, HARRY!!!!!

Oh Harry, how I am beyond words devastated that this adventure is coming to an end. When you are gone what will send me running to midnight IMAX screenings dressed in my quidditch best.

It wont be Optimus Prime or Jack Sparrow and it sure as shit won't be those twats from Forks. Although the 3D reboot of Titanic might do it!

All that aside, my point is, Harry you will be missed...

My Idiot Brother! Hey I have one of those....

My Idiot Brother is a new film staring Paul Rudd, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer and Steve Coogan about... you guessed it, an idiot brother.

The first preview made it look a little lame however preview number two is here and I think I like it!

Please see for yourself

I do love me some Coogan. Everyone should go out and rent Hamlet 2, it's classic!

Top 5 Cinematic Royals

Even though Royal Wedding fever has calmed down for the time being, after spending far too long job hunting I'm starting to think maybe a royal life is what I need.

There are many wonderful cinematic examples of the exciting and sometimes dangerous life of a royal. Disney love the royals, cartoon or live action they don't discriminate. History is packed with them too, but who is the greatest most powerful movie royal of all time!!!

So here we go, my favourite movie royals and why they are so very grand!

5: Philippe - The Man In The Iron Mask (1998) - Philippe was born the unlucky identical twin of King Louis XIV who spent many years imprisoned with nothing but an iron mask.

This is a hugely under appreciated film, not only does it have an amazing cast (Irons and Depardieu to name a few) but it also manages to combine humour, sex and suicide with the pretty boy looks of Dicaprio to make a late nineties masterpiece.

And for a little bit of trivia - This film won Leonardo DiCaprio a Razzie for worst screen couple. He played both parts of this couple... now that's a pretty good effort!

4: Ariel - The Little Mermaid (1989) - This is my favourite Disney cartoon ever. She sings, she swims, she brushes her hair with a fork.

Whilst already being the daughter of King Triton she manages to bag herself a Prince, who happens to be the best looking cartoon Prince. Eric hubba hubba!!

3: Strider/ Aragorn/ King Elessar Telcontar - Lord of The Rings (2001) -

Whatever you call him, it's all good!
2: Princess Ann - Roman Holiday (1953)

- Everyone at some stage has wanted to leave all their commitments behind and escape through Rome on a vespa with a handsome newspaper man.

Getting a haircut, eating ice cream and hanging with Gregory Peck all in the life of a run away Princess.

Sign me up please...

1: The Prince of Persia (2010) - Although not born of royal blood Prince Dastan proves he is more than capable of rising from the streets to take this crown. Not only is his gun show the hottest ticket in town but his parkour is so hardcore I can't take my eyes of him!!

Men Who Hate Women

Although I think David Fincher is a bit of a errrr.

I'm pretty excited for this one.

I should really try and read the books again.

Also can't wait for another round of Bond action! He's just so dreamy
