The Trip

Last year there was a 6 part series on the BBC, following comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon playing fictional versions of themselves on a restaurant tour of England.

Tintin takes a ride on the Polar Express

Is it live action or is it cartoon? Argh 3D again! I'm really not sold on this one.

Stevie, Pete what else you got?

Twitt errrrr

A friend today was going on and on about how great twitter is and it got me thinking. I can be pretty hilarious and sometimes there is no one to share it with... sad right, well not if you're a twit!

So I signed up and i'm giving it a go.

Not really sure how it works but I figure it can't be that hard. Although I fear i'm going to encounter my main blogging issue which is tricking people into following me.

However two hours later and I have my first follower. Yes he doesn't appear to converse in english but he does have 15,921 followers so I count this as a win!!

5 Books To Never Read...

In the midst of a mid mid life crisis!

I am currently experiencing the joy of a mid mid life crisis. A time when you can reflect on what you have and what people expect you to have. This is definitely a time to steer clear of certain texts that will cause you to contemplate where your life is going.

Here are a my top five books to avoid whilst enjoying a mid mid life crisis:

1. Gone With The Wind: Yes Scarlett O'Hara was a conniving bitch, but she was married three times by the time she was thirty.

2. Revolutionary Road: Thinking you are/deserve better than the people around you, will lead to an early death.

3. Oxford English Dictionary (or any dictionary for that matter) : There are lots of words you don't know and will never know.

4. Little Women: One mistake can ruin your life. Josephine March you know what you did.

5. any Harry Potter: I am 24 and have no magical powers! Enough said.

This is the last one I promise...

I thought their performance at Eurovision was a-m-a-z-i-n-g until I saw this...

Best Video EVER!! Air piano in the snow... argh brain explosion!

This Week's To Do List!

I hope Hotel FM has an album, otherwise I will not only be cold and lost but sad too...

Something Gossiped

I love trashy rom-coms and to say I am a little excited to see Something Borrowed is a bit of an understatement, the only problem is finding someone to see it with. It has been getting some pretty terrible reviews and is not really hipster enough for my snobby north-of-the-river friends.

However I think I may have found a review to swing their votes...

"Something Borrowed is so fluffy that the film is more like an extra long episode of Gossip Girl than a realistic portrayal of love and friendship." popsugar.com

I realise this was meant to be an insult but actually, to those in the know, this is the ultimate compliment. If only Blan were in it too.

and yes I am quoting Popsugar!

i too thought eurovision was lame?

Oh but how quickly things change! Trumpet dancing... classic
