In the midst of a mid mid life crisis!
I am currently experiencing the joy of a mid mid life crisis. A time when you can reflect on what you have and what people expect you to have. This is definitely a time to steer clear of certain texts that will cause you to contemplate where your life is going.
Here are a my top five books to avoid whilst enjoying a mid mid life crisis:
1. Gone With The Wind: Yes Scarlett O'Hara was a conniving bitch, but she was married three times by the time she was thirty.
2. Revolutionary Road: Thinking you are/deserve better than the people around you, will lead to an early death.
3. Oxford English Dictionary (or any dictionary for that matter) : There are lots of words you don't know and will never know.
4. Little Women: One mistake can ruin your life. Josephine March you know what you did.
5. any Harry Potter: I am 24 and have no magical powers! Enough said.

Scarlett also shot a Confederate soldier and was responsible for the deaths of a number of KKK members. But failed to win the heart of the (incredibly boring) man she loved.
ReplyDeleteAnd who was that other pretty but boring guy?? Oh yeah: LAURIE. Go Team Bhaer!
